TEST , the start of cricket , the test of temperament and skills . it all started in 1844 and recognized in 1877 by the world , this was the first format of this game and has been improved over the years and it’s the most important format in cricket .
WHAT IS ICC TEST CHAMPIONSHIP?
It is a new tournament , it will run over a period of 2 year in which 9 of of 12 test playing countrys will participate and each team will play 6 test series and would not face 2 teams in the league stage . As each team won’t play the same number of matches the points will be divided my a mathematical formula and the top two teams in the league stage will play finals in England at lords
Test?
Before this the ICC awards a trophy, the ICC Test Championship mace was handed over to the team with highest rating on 1 April of every year . The main reason of this tournament is to recreate some intreat in test as test cricket was going down due to the new formats like t20 and ODI cricket taken over test
ODI and t20 cricket are small games played and hence people come to watch it . IPL and other leagues have attracted audience and hence people nowadays prefer watching these format over test cricket . so ICC took this step so that they can attract audience through a tournament of test cricket but according to the experts this might not affect the way it is required but it is just the start of something new and there are some major changes that need to be made.
WHAT CHANGES SHOULD BE MADE ?
The major error of this tournament is each team won’t face each other in the league stage . In ever format of the game either there are groups or each team faces each other and then semi-final is played but in this format each team will only face 6 teams so it might not be fair for some teams who might have a chance against each other . this will lead to a disadvantage and some unfair advantage to some teams .
The second change that needs to be made is number of matches played by teams is not the same like whattt??? . ya you heard it right each team will play different number of matches and that may lead to unfair advantage. the point will be divided of every series according by the following format
| Matches in series | Points for a win | Points for a tie | Points for a draw | Points for a defeat |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 60 | 30 | 20 | 0 |
| 3 | 40 | 20 | 13 | 0 |
| 4 | 30 | 15 | 10 | 0 |
| 5 | 24 | 12 | 8 | 0 |
So these are some major chance that need to be done to make it more fair cricket and each team needs to face each other at least one as well as each team should play same number of matches . Test is a very crucial format and there are people who follow it and which more audience should watch it . the word itself defines is its a test of the best and according to me is the most important aspect of the game it makes you calm and aware of every step as well as improves your skills
Test championship a brave step , but is it really wanna work? according to expert won’t affect to much
What’s your take on this?
15 months ago something happened , which changed the Australian cricket , something which every Australian might rememberer for the rest of their life , ya the ball tempering scandal .
Steve Smith was involved in this scandal and was found guilty and handed over a 1 year ban . Some people might also remember it by the darkest phase of Australian cricket . The captain Steve Smith played a part in this ball tempering scandal and ended up crying for forgiveness in a press conference , many people criticized him but many people supported him as well , he was also banned to play IPL for 1 season and was treated like a criminal by the south african airport security. Everyone knew that the punishment was to harsh and yet it was given to set an example throughout Australia as they have a huge amount of respect for their cricket .
After a few months he started playing club level cricket and was allowed to play for various leagues happening like the Canadian league. He used his example to inspire other people , to tell them that they should think twice before they make any decision ,he also helped people who were facing depression by visiting various schools and colleges as a motivational speaker ,
AND THEN…. right when he was gonna make his comeback he had a shoulder injure and then had to wait for some more time for his comeback , he played the 2019 edition IPL in which he was part of Rajasthan Royals camp though his team struggled in the tournament but Steve Smith played well and was also named as the captain of Rajasthan . He had to leave before the tournament got over as the World Cup journey began .
World Cup started , Steve Smith was all ready for it and played some match winning knocks in the tournament but couldn’t win the World Cup as they lost against England in semi-final though Steve Smith played a fighting knock . England went on to winning the World Cup .
ASHES , the biggest battle of cricket was here on one side there was England who just won the World Cup and on the other side there was Australia who were the underdogs . In England the stage was set and by the way Steve Smith was the best test batsmen when he got banned 15 months ago and didn’t play a single test after that . The match started and there very a lot of fans of England who came to tease Steve Smith with various ways they booed at him when he came into bat . When he walked in Australia were in a difficult situation . He scored 144 of just 219 balls and was the last wicket to fall . England lead by almost 100 runs and everyone thought it was over but again the man stood he scored 142 of just 207 and Australia won by 251 runs
That was a comeback I will always remember what a player when life hits you hard you should always comeback like Steve Smith he won the man of the match and the people who were teasing him ended up clapping hands for him . for me he is a legend and everyone makes mistakes but you have to get over it and change into a better person

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
